Where in the World is Rosie Ruiz?

Remember Rosie? The woman who tried to 'steal' the women's crown in the 1980 Boston Marathon? One of the all-time great hoaxes and she may have gotten away with it -- except she was barely sweating after running 26-plus miles in 70-degree weather, and no cameras caught her running at any stage of the race. Just some small details. Finally, some spectators alerted the authorities to Rosie's ruse. And we had ourselves a lifelong Marathon moment...

We're two minutes away from the gun going off in Hopkinton to start the race. Sox and Mariners are knotted at 2 in the bottom of the 3rd. Ortiz at the plate with 2 outs - Papi went deep his first time to center. Gil Meche on the mound for Seattle. Papi swings and whiffs at a curveball. 2-2. Foul. Ball, 3-2. Can Papi hit another? He's certainly trying - a vicious hack fouled off the third-base side. Another foul. And Meche gets Papi fishing. Damn. By the time the commercial's over, Papi might be back in the dugout...

More as the day moves along...
